The Magic Pencil

Oh  magic pencil , I love you.
How did you become so smart.
You bring all my stuff to life.
You give me all I need.
You are so brilliant  because, you
help me do my projects.
You make me under stand my works
to make them very perfect.
You are so kind to all my friends
because you make them fell welcome.
You are so kind and smart you little and
lovely magic pencil.

After learning about Literary Devices,I analyze that authors use literary devises to make their stories more descriptive and make the reader think deeply. Some of the literary devices are
figurative language. Figurative language does not mean what it really says like idioms. Other literary devices are Simile, Metaphor and Personification. Simile compares two unlike things using the word like or as. And metaphor compares two unlike things without using the word like
or as. And finally personification describes an object by giving it human qualities (characteristics). I choose to write a poem about personification by giving a pencil human qualities because it makes readers think deeply and attract their mind to see how a pencil does magical things.

The Edible Paper

When Ms Douglas came from Ireland, she  brought us a souvenir for our class. She returned on Monday, January 3rd with our gift - edible paper! Have you ever heard of such a thing?  You may be wondering what this is.

When she arrived, she mentioned having this gift. We completed an assignment, then she called us up to receive it. It was like a paper with some design on it. When she gave it to me she called that do not put it on the table, I taught it was a sheet of paper. It  was so weird that she told us it was candy. It tasted like cookies it was very fun tasting an  edible paper. What  I thought  after  eating it was that I ate a paper I am being trained as a goat.

Here are some things I learned about edible paper. Edible paper is a paper that people can eat. The paper has no flavor and very little texture. Edible paper is used as a cake decoration. The edible is flexible and smooth but it is hard enough to write on. Specially edible paper is designed to feel like regular paper but it melts in water only. Another thing I learned is that sometimes edible paper can be dangerous if it has chemicals or harmful mixtures.

I think that the edible paper is good to eat but not all that tasty to eat.  Maybe some of you children would like to taste the edible paper because of what I wrote.

My Little Sister’s Birth

When my auntie told me my mom has giving birth to a bouncing baby , I loved how she called it. My mom’s birth took place in Ghana which is in Africa. I smelled the joyness in my soul. I tasted the happiness  of tears in my eyes. I felt very jovial and all the way unhappy. And I thought of the newborn little and cute sister of mine.

When my mom came home, from  the hospital it was very fun. A lot of members which where in the church of the Divine Healers Church, visited us everyday. The children in the church came to our house, and we played with a lot of stuffs such as dolls and teddy bears. When my mom came home, she had both sadness and joy. She was weak. She was somewhat joyful and somewhat not.

When my mom told me we where going to have a baby shower, she told me the baby shower was going to take place near a restaurant.  When she called that it seems very silly. When you have the chance to have a ceremony or a big party near a restaurant you will eat anything you want. I ate a lot of meat. I smelled the sweet and  the fabulous sent of eggs.

When they started the ceremony they named the baby Benedicta and she was named after my grandma. My grandma seems precious to me. My dad was very glad to have a cute baby who was named after his mom. All of the family members where very glad so they came and gathered because the baby seemed very fantastic and gorgeous to them. I love my family because of how they celebrate important events.

The Big Wave

The title of my book is The Big Wave. The author is Pearl S. Buck. It is about a Gentle old man who was poor and became rich on a farm on a mountain in Japan. It is about a village life and a city life. At the same time, it is about poor people and rich people.

There where two friends named Kino and Jiya . Jiya’s family’s where very poor and Kino’s family where also poor. They went to the beach to look at the sea. They went with their family. Then Kino and Jiya called that they where going to swim.Their parents allowed them to go.

They went and swam  to another town. Their parent were not aware that, their children were not in their town. They taught their children were swimming. The time they became aware that their children were not in their town, they search every where for them but they couldn’t find them. They shouted with tears and said Kino and Jiya  come back. At that time Kino and Jiya were in another town working for money.

I predicted that this book was going to be about a big wave because of the title. I also guessed this story is going to show lessons about how to . I choose this book because I love reading new books and I thought it was going to be the type of story which helps people to grow up.

I imagined that the two friends will stop feeding the deers. In my mind i see that the old man will become the friends of Kino and Jiya. In my mind I visualize that Kino and Jiya’s family will be looking for them.

I related to this book because it shows me how to respect elderly people who come across my way. This author helps me to think about my late friend who died on her birthday in Ghana, because a young character also passed away in the book while swimming. The character reminds me of my best friend called Frank been sturborn in school.

Some questions I have are, how is it possible that Kino and Jiya  swam from their town to another? How come the gentle old man became more rich than the people in the town? What could've happened if a shark swallowed Kino annd Jiya?

I recommend that the people who will read this story will learn how to help other people while they are in very severe pain and have problems.

Dog and the Lion and the Mouse

A theme is a topic or lesson the author wants you to learn, For example the Lion and the Mouse. The theme of the story is never think you are too big or important for help . I’m going to discuss about ‘’Dog’’ and the Lion and the Mouse.
In the beginning of ‘’Dog’’ he was having a bone.He traveled across the bridge, he glanced in the river and saw a dog with a bigger bone. Next he said i want that bone! The dog tried to grab the bigger bone . Then his  bone felt in river, and he got only a mouthful of water .At the end he came out with no bone. He shouted “I want my bone back.”
The theme of the story is don’t be jealous and appreciate what you have. The character of the story “Dog” was been jealous ,hateful, greedy and dumb .

In the beginning of the story “the Lion and the Mouse”!! There was a lion lay asleep in forest and a timid little mouse came of upon the nose of  the lion and it scared the lion. Next, the timid little mouse was caught by the lion. Then the lion was about to kill her and she said spare me begged the poor mouse . “Please” let me go and someday i will surely repay you.

At the end of the lion as caught by a hunter so the mouse saved him and the mouse laughed and said i told you i will surely repay you, have you see i have save you? The theme of the story is never think you are too big or important for help. The character of the story is the mouse was kind to the lion and the mouse maid the lion angry, unfriendly, self important and amused.
